Sports Minister Charles Bakkabulindi has called upon the sports fraternity to join hands and work with him to develop the sector instead of seeing him as an enemy.
Sports Minister Charles Bakkabulindi has called upon the sports fraternity to join hands and work with him to develop the sector instead of seeing him as an enemy.

Speaking as Chief Guest at Pope Paul Memorial Center, Rubaga on Friday at the opening of the Extra Ordinary Assembly of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA), Bakkabulindi claimed that some people have been trying to get him removed as Sports Minister since he took over that office.

He called upon the many football delegates present in the Assembly Hall to work towards developing sports and eliminate misunderstandings.

He called upon FUFA to work hard so that the smaller sports federations and Associations learn from them instead of the big football body learning from the smaller ones.

The minister said that sport is supposed to unite and not divide Ugandans. Bakabulindi attacked football administrators for what he called exercising double standards.

The Minister pledged more commitment to settle differences within different sports associations, saying they are killing sports.
