Bamasaba cultural institution has launched a fundraising drive
to raise money for the burial ceremonies of the late Umukuka Bob Mushikori.
Eric Mukhwana, the Public Relations Officer Inzu Ya Masaba, says that although
the burial ceremony is set for January 30, 2021, they have not realized Shillings
500 million need for different funeral activities.
He reveals that they
have to all Bamasaba legislators, LC V chairpersons,
local governments, Chief Administrative Officer, Bamasaba in the diaspora and
at home to contribute towards the burial ceremony.
According to Mukhwana, they expected the government through
the Gender, Labor and Social Development Ministry to support them but nothing
has come yet, which has forced to launch the drive.

Mathis Nabuteri, the Deputy Prime Minister Bamasaba cultural institution has urged
Bumasaba and well-wishers to respond to their fundraising drive to give Mushikori
a well-deserving send-off.
The late Mushikori, who succumbed hypertension early this
month will be laid to rest at his ancestral home in Busayi village in Bududa
Sub County in Bududa district.
