Former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Party Colonel Kizza Besigye says General Mugisha Muntu can\'t lead the party to victory in the 2016 elections.
Besigye while meeting FDC delegates from greater Luweero districts at Luweero Diocesan Pastoral Center asked them to vote him so that he takes on President Museveni, who is likely to be fronted by National Resistance Movement.
Besigye said he had received complaints from party supporters that Forum for Democratic Change was weakening and slackening because General Mugisha Muntu was seemingly massaging the NRM leadership.
Besigye says that some party members have said that he was too aggressive and he scares new supporters from National Resistance Movement party. But explained there is no way a dictatorial regime can be defeated by mere persuasion and soft approach used by Muntu but through activism and other aggressive measures.

The FDC delegates and supporters in greater Luweero districts agreed with Besigye and pledged to support him.
Swaibu Nsamba, the FDC Party chairperson for Katikamu South explains that majority of supporters in FDC were mobilised and attracted to join the party due to hard stance of Besigye .

Ruth Nakiwala, FDC Mobiliser for Nakasongola explains that Besigye is popular than Muntu and it will be an error to replace him with Muntu who is weak.
She however noted that for strong government,Muntu can stay party leader and Kizza Besigye steers the county as president.
General Mugisha Muntu however argues that building party structures and grassroots mobilization would aid the party capture power. Muntu, has said in various forums that activism or aggressive approach had failed to take FDC party into power.
He says he possesses exceptional skills that can enable the party win the presidential seat.
Kizza Besigye and Mugisha Muntu are contesting for the position of FDC flag bearer in the 2016 election.
