Betway Power on Friday night struggled to stop Pemba warriors 82-78 in a major encounter of the National Basketball League game played.
In the hotly contested game played at the YMCA the Warriors side trailed 14-17 againts Power in the first quarter, while the Warriors side led in the second quarter 22-19 and the third quarter 22-18.
The Power side however had a tremendous fourth quarter performance leading 28-20 to enable them secure a slim 82-78 win by the final whistle.
Warriors Marc Mathe registered 17 points while guard Mike Othieno had 13 points 2 rebounds and 6 assists.
For the Power side, Geoffrey Soro made 19 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Power captain had 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.
Unlike the first game when the Warriors side lost greatly to KIU, this time the Warriors bench was full with four new players on the pitch.
Meanwhile in the ladies game, Just Kip Livin (JKL) Lady Dolphins stopped Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) leopards 63-46 in a tough game.
A 17-0 lead for the JKL in the second quarter did enough to hand the JKL team a win. JKL's Hope Akello made 14 points, and 5 rebounds while Jamila Nansikombi also added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists.
For KCCA side, Judith Ayoo Nansobya made 17 points.
