The Bishop of West Buganda Diocese Rt. Rev. Godfrey Makumbi is dead. Diocesan Spokesperson Rev Enock Muwanguzi said the Bishop succumbed to throat cancer.
Bishop Makumbi breathed his last from the Cancer institute in Mulago where he was admitted 2 weeks ago after battling the disease for 6 years . He was aged 52.
Makumbi was consecrated Bishop of West Buganda Diocese in 2011 replacing retired Bishop Samuel Keefa Kamya.
