Bouncers under their Umbrella, the Uganda Bouncers Association – UUBA on Tuesday stormed the home of Bobi Wine demanding payment for services provided at the Kyarenga Concert.

The bouncers provided security during the concert held at Love One Beach Busabala on Saturday.

Tonny Ssempijja, the UUBA administrator says that before the concert, the association had a memorandum of understanding with the concert organizers to offer services at a fee he declined to disclose.

Ssempijja says after the show, John Ssentamu, Bobi Wine's music manager declined to pay the bouncers.

“I have been calling him several times and some calls went unanswered. The boys were on my neck demanding their allowance and I had no explanation to give them, everybody saw that the concert was successful,” he said in an interview.

Ssempwebwa says that they were forced to storm Bobi Wine's home after they failed to trace for Ssentamu.

Emmanuel Serugo, the promoter of the Kyarenga concert, says that he had delegated somebody to handle payments of the bouncers. He, however, says that the payment was halted over disputes on the actual number of bouncers who were deployed.

According to Serugo, it was wrong to storm Bobi Wine's home because he wasn't the organiser but just a guest performer.

The bouncers vowed not to leave Bobi Wine's home until they are paid. However, Ssentamu later arrived and held a meeting with Ssempebwa.
