Bukomansimbi Village Chairperson Arrested for Alleged Murder

Mbaziiras trouble, who is also a traditional healer, stems from the sudden death of her client Namirembe who is said to have died at his shrine.

Police have arrested a local council chairperson on allegations of murder.

Baker Mbaziira 43, the Misanvu village chairperson in Kibinge Sub County was allegedly involved in the death of Scovia Namirembe.

It's alleged that the deceased sought the services of Mbaziira, who is a traditional herbalist.

According to the deceased's relatives, Namirembe went to Mbaziira's shrine on Wednesday seeking treatment after feeling unwell, and it was the last time she was seen. 

George William Mubiru one of the deceased's neighbours says that they were shocked to get information that she had died from Mbaziira's shrine.

Bukomansimbi District Police commander Sowedi Mansur says that the deceased's body had bruises. He says that Mbaziira has been arrested to help police with investigations.
