BULFC players celebrate after scoring their first goal.
Bidco FC (BUL) has defeated Police FC 2-1 in the Uganda Premier League
match at the Kyabazinga Stadium, Jinja City.
BUL FC’s goal was scored by Ibrahim Mugulusi in the 38th minute of the game.
Police's Brian Muruli scored an equalizer during the added minute
of the first half of the game, however, Richard Wandyaka sealed Bidco's win with
a second goal in the 47th minute.
Bidco's head coach, Alex Isabirye says that, much as they won today's game, his
team has a challenge of conceding avoidable goals, an issue that, they plan to
rectify before concluding the first leg of the league.
Isabirye adds that the boys are still adapting to the new style of play, which
entails attacking and containing their opponents in the midfield area. He
argues that this style of play if fully mastered by his players will enable
them to seal off loopholes in the defence areas, concede fewer goals, yet win
most of their games in the long run.
Police's head coach, Abdullah Mubiru says that his team failed to adhere to
their game plan, which cost them today's game.
"All I can say is that
it was a bad day for us because the boys failed to stick to our game plan and
we lost the game," says Mubiru.
