The Uganda Premier League game between BUL FC and Mbarara on
Sunday ended in a one-all draw at Kyabazinga Stadium, Bugembe in Jinja.
Mbarara's goal was scored by Jude Ssemugabi in the 20th minute and BUL's equalizer was netted by Richard
Wandyaka after Robert Mukongotya's cross in the 44th minute.
The game was yesterday halted in the 59th minute due to the heavy
rains in Jinja. The pitch had been submerged by the floods.
Article 22 (2) of the FUFA Competitions Rules states that in case a match is
abandoned as a result of force majeure, the match shall recommence with the
same score at the same minute at which play was interrupted rather than being
replayed in full.
According to FUFA rules, the match recommenced with the same players on the
pitch and substitutes available as to when the match was initially abandoned
and no additional substitutes are supposed to be added to the list of players
on the team sheet.
Both teams, Mbarara City and BUL FC are tight on the Uganda Premier League- UPL table with BUL being in
the 10th position with 26 points while Mbarara City is in the 11th position
with the same points with only the goal difference separating the two teams.
