Bulambuli Councilors Move to Censure Executive

Four members of the Bulambuli district executive are in trouble for alleged incompetence. 23 of the 38 district councilors have signed a petition to censure the executive.

 

Some of the councilors who have signed the petition include among others Rose Nasolo, Charles Wepukhulu, Agnes Nafuna, Jane Kituyi, John Mooli, Edinnah Acheng,Joseph Magai, Mercy Nagudi, Grace Nambafu, Denis Wanyoro, Levi Mafabi, Stanley Kuloba, Moses Wanbende and Emma Wanyenze.

 

Those accused of incompetence are, Siraji Wamai, the LC V Vice Chairperson, John Woniala, Technical Services Secretary, Margret Mutonyi, Social Services Secretary and Moses Gimei, the Finance and Planning Sectary.

Moses Mwayafu, the Chief petitioner says they decided to censure the executive after failing to get a satisfactory explanation on why Bulambuli district has poor service  deliver.

But John Woniala, Technical Services Secretary who is among the accused members of executive has welcomed the decision to censure them by councilors.

He explains that Bulambuli district is faced with a challenge of inadequate funds that has led to poor service delivery.

Simon Peter Wanonzofu, the Bulambuli District LC5 Chairperson pointed out that those running around with the petition want executive posts yet they don't qualify due to lack of papers. Wanonzofu explains that the petitioners are being driven by selfish motives.
