20-year old Jennifer Acen is accused of living with the 13-year old boy as husband and wife, and infecting him with HIV.
A 20-year old woman in Apac district has been charged with aggravated defilement.
Jennifer Acen appeared before Grade One magistrate, Jude Okumu, and charged with defiling a 13-year old boy. Prosecution also says she infected the boy with HIV, aftre both tested HIV positive.
Prosecution led by the District Resident State Attorney, Jacinta Kkaya says that Acen sometime mid this year eloped with the boy who was a pupil of Apac primary school, and stayed with him at Temogo cell.
Acen denied the allegations, saying she was only supporting the boy at school and providing him with accommodation since he had nowhere to stay while studying.
Prosecution further claims that the suspect was staying with the boy in her residential house, and forced him to live with as her as husband and wife.
Okumu then remanded Acen to Atopi government prison until 18th November, when she returns for mention of the case.
This is the second time a woman in Apac district is charged with aggravated defilement of a male juvenile.
Harriet Agoa was on 5th December, 2014 charged and remanded to Atopi government prison for allegedly defiling a 12-year old boy from the same school. Her case is still going on.
