Ndooli, who lost the primary election to Fred Tumwesigye blames his woes on his rivals, saying it is intended to divert him from pursuing his petition challenged the results.

Museveni Ndooli, the loser of the Buwekula South National Resistance Movement-NRM
party parliamentary primary elections has appeared before Mubende Grade One
Magistrate’s court for staging an illegal assembly contrary to the Covid19
preventive guidelines.
He was
charged together with 23 supporters before the Mubende Grade I magistrate, Adam
Byarugaba. He pleaded not guilty to the charges and applied for bail through
his lawyer, Andrew Manzi.
He was
granted none cash bond of Shillings 10 million and asked to report to the court on
October 7th. Ndooli’s co-
accused pleaded guilty to the charges and were cautioned by the magistrate as
explained by the defence lawyer.

Ndooli, who

It is alleged that Ndooli staged
an illegal assembly at Kyenda in Mubende municipality on September 10th,
2020 to protest the outcomes of the primaries.
He, however,
says the arrest is meant to divert his attention from the petition, saying he
has strong evidence that he won the primary elections.
