Dr. Abed Bwanika, the People\'s Development Party-PDP, presidential candidate has asked Ugandans to vote for him, saying he is the only candidate who can fulfill his campaign promises.
“I am the only person who can work on the promises, Tarmac Tirinyi-Pallisa road and create Butebo district, “Bwanika told voters at his campaign rally in Pallisa Taxi Park on Wednesday evening.
Bwanika noted that Ugandans are facing several challenges such as poor health and education services, impassable roads and lack of agricultural inputs due to poor leadership. “I am surprised that Ugandans pay attention to lies other than people who address real issues that affect them,†he said.
He told voters that once elected into office, his government will check on public expenditure and redirect resources to priority sectors that benefit the entire country. Dr. Bwanika asked the voters to stand firm, saying no one will rig the polls.
“I have given you my number feel free to call me just in case of anything for the good of our country nobody should scare you that is why i am a presidential candidateâ€, he said. Bwanika is the fifth presidential candidate to visit Pallisa district to canvas support ahead of the February 18th general elections.
Others are Dr. Besigye Kifefe, the Forum for Democratic Change-FDC party presidential candidate, NRM\'s Yoweri Museveni and John Patrick Amama Mbabazi, Venansius Baryamureeba and Joseph Mabirizi, all independents.
