Police in Kasese are investigating the disappearance of Bonny Bwambale, a campaign manager of Reverend Canon Julius Kithaghenda, an aspirant for the Busongora North NRM party ticket.
Bwambale reportedly left Kithaghenda\'s campaign coordination office in Maliba Trading Center at around 10pm last night but didn\'t arrive home.
Reverend Canon Julius Kithaghenda spoke to URN on the disappearance of his campaign agent.

Bwambale\'s son Jimmy Bwambale says they found his father\'s mobile phone, appointment letter as Kithaghenda\'s polling agent and tooth paste near his home at around 11pm prompting them to report the matter to police.

Elijjah Kyetunda, whose campaign manager is accused of threatening Bwambale, has denied any foul play. According to Kyetunda, he treats Bwambale like his brother since they are immediate neighbors and don\'t have any grudge. Kyetunda says he is one of those who have joined efforts to trace for Bwambale.
Godfrey Maate, the Kasese District Police Commander says he has dispatched a team of officers to investigate Bwambale\'s disappearance and trace his whereabouts.
Hundreds of people from Kyarugomoka village and around Maliba Trading Center where Bwambale has been operating a drug shop have camped at Maliba sub-county headquarters to stop the elections until he is found.
The Busongora North NRM MP race has attracted six contestants. They include Rev. Can. Julius Kithaghenda, Elijjah Kyetunda, Mike Asiimwe Mbakania, Silas Kimanywenda, John Baguma and Clovis Kalingutsa.
