As the race for Mbarara district Woman Member of Parliament, heats up, the FDC candidate, Anna Mugisha, has accused her rival of accusing her rival for using the state machinery in intimidating the electorate.

Mugisha says some state machinery are deployed in Mbarara to disorganize the electorate.

Mugisha said that they have already put up mechanism of protecting their voters from being attacked by the state machineries.

Mugisha believes that the people in Mbarara are mature enough to take their own decision amidst intimidation.

// Cue in:"Do you think Museveni can"...

Cue out: ..."am now focusing on the message for"//

The FDC candidate says that Mbarara has been in opposition for long and they have now embarked on the message for change.

Mugisha noted that the incumbent MP and ruling party, have been using all the tactics of tarnishing her, but all have failed.

Last month, Mugisha petitioned the electoral commission, accusing Emma Boona of hanging the posters she used in the Nakawa primary race in Mbarara.

The electoral commission ordered police in Mbarara to investigate the matter.

// Cue in: "using my posters in Mbarara"...

Cue out: ..."it has impacted her more"//

When contacted the Mbarara Woman Member of Parliament, Emma Boona accepted that she was accused of hanging the posters of her opponent and says that it's now the work of police to investigate.

Boona says that as an incumbent, she is not threatened by Mugisha as a contestant.

// Cue in:"huh u, she claimed that"...

Cue out: ..."the matter was presented to EC"//

But the MP has challenged her rival opponents to sue her if she is found liable for any form of intimidation.

// Cue in: "as a party we are organized"...

Cue out: ..."there is no way you can"//

The Mbarara district Woman Member of Parliament seat is among the Key areas where opposition is targeting to take in the region.
