Uganda's U-17 Women's football team training sessions are being affected by the heavy rains in around the Fufa Technical Centre in Njeru.
The team under coach Ayub Khalifah is preparing for the 2019 CECAFA U-17 Women's Challenge Cup slated for December 9-18th.
Khalifah told URN on Wednesday that the ever-changing weather patterns characterized with rains are
affecting their daily training schedules.
Speaking to journalists after their third day of training Khalifah said although all the 29 players are in camp, the preparations are affected by the rain.
Khalifah stresses that they are left with four days to
begin the tournament and have opted to train whenever the rain stops and this he says limits the number of hours for training.

Cue out…field to train.”//
Khalifah adds the team will be holding a buildup game with a
Kampala select team aimed at boosting their fitness and match confidence. He, however, says that the team is physically fit and ready to give a good account in the tournament.
The tournament to be played on a round-robin basis will attract Uganda, Kenya, Djibouti, Tanzania, Burundi and Eritrea.
