Transport is paralysed around clock tower as a result of flooding following afternoon downpour in Kampala. Water flowing from Clock tower to Nakivubo channel has covered the road making the road impassable.

The water has also flooded the compound of Uganda Police Directorate of Fire Prevention and Rescue services. Boda Boda Riders and youthful men are ferrying people across the flood water at Shillings 1000.

Some of the people who can’t pay have opted to remove their shoes, fold their trousers and walk through the flood waters. This isn't the first time clock tower is flooding.

Various attempts have been made in vain to improve drainage and ease the water flow.
