Two family members and a boda boda rider have been taken to the Alebtong District Coronavirus (COVID 19) Isolation center.
The Alebtong District COVID - 19 Taskforce said the three have been admitted after one of them presented
with symptoms of the virus.
It is alleged that one of them, a resident of Awapiny parish
in Abako sub-county fell ill and needed help to reach the health facility.
He was put on a motorcycle with the help of his brother and
the three soon made their way to Hallelujah Clinic, a private Health facility
in Aloi town council. However, authorities at the facility declined to admit since
he was coughing uncontrollably.
An ambulance was later sent from the District to have all of
them transported to the district isolation center situated at Oteno HCII.
Dr. Tony Odung, the District Health Officer says their samples
were taken and will be transported to Entebbe for COVID -19 testing.

positive, the three will be referred to Lira treatment center.
According to Ministry of Health, the most common symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, dry cough,
and fatigue although some patients may have severe vomiting, nasal congestion,
sore throat or diarrhea.
These symptoms are usually mild and begin gradually. Some
people become infected but only have very mild symptoms. Most people recover from the disease without going to hospital for treatment.
Uganda has recorded two new cases of
the virus bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 85 in total. 52 have since
recovered and no death has been registered.
