The Police in Namutumba district has arrested John Famba, a resident of Kimenyulo village in Ivukula Sub County for stabbing to death a 23-year-old blind man.

Famba hired Hamza Luka, a deaf man to guard his charcoal stall in exchange for food however, on Thursday morning at around 4:00 am, he realized that two charcoal bags were missing from his store.

Famba then accused Luka of conniving with thieves to steal from his business. He then stabbed him on the neck, killing him instantly.

The deceased's father, Asuman Gulele says that they alerted police after noticing Famba clearing the scene of the crime. "Famba called me claiming that my son was killed by night robbers who had sped off with part of his charcoal, but on arrival at the scene, I saw him mopping the blood from the murder scene, so I immediately alerted police," he says.
