NRM candidates in Mbale who were allegedly rigged out of the party primary elections have formed an alliance to fight the official party flag bearers.
The candidates, mostly councilors say they are ganging up against the official party flag bearers because they won elections through fraudulent means.
Alfred Magomu the councilor representing Namakwekwe Ward in Mbale Municipality says accusing the NRM party leadership of depriving them of their victory by organizing shoddy elections.
Magomu who is going to vie for the seat of Mayor of Mbale Municipal Council explains that the only way they can express their disgust is by contesting against the official flag bearers in the forth coming national elections.

Cue out "...it's a pity" //
The group who include councilors, Ssebowa Khauka and Robert Kabala say they will contest as independents against the official party candidates.
They claim Waswa Masokoyi who was elected as the party flag bearer neither had campaign posters nor campaigned but went through in the primaries due to ballot stuffing.
They claim their efforts to seek redress from the NRM electoral commission have yielded nothing.
The disgruntled members have also boycotted the NRM conference that is taking place in Nambole.
George William Wopuwa the MP for Bubulo East says it's insignificant for them to go to attend the conference when the party refused to help them when they were cheated in the elections.
Wopuwa says they preferred staying around to mobilize support and contest as independent candidates in the up coming general elections.
