Uganda’s men’s League champions DMark Power have promised to give their best when they battle guest side South Sudan this evening as the FIBA Africa Zone 5 Basketball Club Championship enters Day 2 at Lugogo Indoor Stadium.

DMark Power, who have lately been struggling in the Airtel League, will hope that their star players Isaac Lugudde, Joseph Ikong, Ben Komakech and the Emma brothers Emma and Jimmy Enabu are at their best against a South Sudanese side that boosts of skilful players.

In the other men’s game to be played today defending champions Urunani from Burundi will face Savio (Tanzania), while Kenya Commercial Bank battle Tanzania’s ABC. Two women’s games will be on card with defending champions KPA taking on Jeshi Stars and Rwanda’s APR up against Don Bosco (Tanzania).

Meanwhile in the games played yesterday two Ugandan sides lost, while KCCA Leopards came from behind to beat last year’s finalists Berco Stars of Burundi 63-50 to brighten their chances of making it to the later stages of the event.

Uganda’s top women’s team UCU Canons were beaten in the last game of the evening 75-64 by Kenya’s Eagle Wings, while men’s side Kyambogo Warriors also lost 76-56 to Rwanda’s Espoir.
