The Dokolo Deputy District Internal Security Officer, Joseph Okello is at large for alleged abduction. Okello is wanted at Dokolo Central Police Station for allegedly abducting a 13-year-old girl, a student of Bishop Tarantino College in Lira town.
His trouble started after the teenager who disappeared from her parent's home in Dokolo town council two weeks ago was found at his residence. Jimtom Aguta, the Dokolo District Police Commander, says they want Okello to explain the circumstances under, which the teenager came to stay at his residence for two weeks.
According to Aguta, the girl's father Patrick Ocen, a UPDF soldier attached to 4th Division Army headquartered in Gulu town filed a case against the DISO. Police has since preferred charges of abduction against Okello pending a medical report showing whether or not the minor was defiled.

Ocen told police that his daughter disappeared as she was returning from school. "That evening I was from picking her from her school in Lira town but she disappeared soon after we reached Dokolo town. I looked for her and I was tipped off her that she was staying at the home of Joseph Okello, the deputy DISO," Ocen narrated.
Ocen suspects that Okello could have been staying with his daughter as husband and wife, a claim police is yet to confirm. Susan Akany, the Dokolo Resident District Commissioner, says she directed for the arrest of Okello when the girl's father petitioned her office accusing police of mismanaging the case.
Akany says police is still hunting for Okello who has been missing for over a week. The girl has been handed over to her father pending the arrest of Okello.
