Egypt Stop Hippos 3-1 In Cosafa Cup Play-Off

Roshdi Ashraf gave Egypt the lead after 19 minutes before Uganda Hippos skipper Muhammad Shaban leveled matters on 44 minutes at the Arthur Davies Stadium, Kitwe. It was Shaban's fourth goal of the tournament.

In the second half the Egyptian side put Uganda Hippos under more pressure with their high passing game. Ashraf netted his second goal of the day to make it 2-1.

Uganda Hippos coach Matia Mule tried to make some changes, but the Egyptian defenders stood form. On added time Abdelrahman Elrayash volleyed a close shot in the net for the Egyptians.

South Africa ejected Egypt 1-0 at the semi final stage, while Lesotho shocked Hippos 6-5 on penalty shoot outs after a goalless draw.

In the final South Africa is leading 2-0 at the interval.
