Egyptian Side Al Ittihad FC Target Cranes Striker Kaddu

The Alexandria based Club are reportedly ready to pay Uganda Premier League champions KCCA FC USD 150,000 (554 million Shillings) for Kaddu’s signature on a two-year contract.

Egyptian Premier League side Al Ittihad FC are interested in signing Uganda Cranes striker Patrick Henry Kaddu.

The Alexandria based Club are reportedly ready to pay Uganda Premier League champions KCCA FC USD 150,000 (554 million Shillings) for Kaddu’s signature on a two-year contract.

A source close to the club told URN on Friday morning that one of the agents has already met with KCCA FC chairman Aggrey Ashaba in Cairo and discussed the deal. “The Al Ittihad Club are however waiting to see how Kaddu performs against Senegal on Friday night in the Group of 16,” added the source.

Kaddu scored Uganda Cranes' first goal of the tournament in the 2-0 victory over the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Daniel Isiagi and Derrick Nsibambi are the only Ugandan players currently featuring for Egyptian Clubs. Isiagi plies his trade with Al Nasr, while Nsibambi features for Smouha Sporting Club. Uganda Cranes assistant captain Hassan Wasswa Mawanda also featured for Egyptian side El-Geish FC till early this year when his contract was not renewed.
