Entebbe Witchdoctor Defiles Young Stepdaughter, Makes Her Pregnant

A witchdoctor has been arrested for defiling and impregnating a minor after severally forcing the mother to sleep in the shrine.Yusuf Waggama, according to Sharon Ninsiima, would often force her to sleep in shrine so that he could defile the stepdaughter.

“Waggama convinced me to get married to him and he said he was ready to accept me with my daughter," the victim's mother said. "We have been living together but of recent he changed and started forcing me to sleep in the shrine. He would sometimes start fights which would force me to sleep outside the main house. I later learnt that he was doing this to get space to defile my daughter."

Ninsiima who has since reported Waggama at Entebbe police station said she later noticed her daughter was unhappy and becoming weak every day. She decided to ask her daughter what was happening and she revealed that her stepfather has been forcefully engaging her in sexual acts whenever he forced the mother to sleep outside.

“My daughter told me her stepfather forces her into sexual acts whenever he would force me to sleep in the shrine, so I took her to the medical facility for examination and it was confirmed that she had been sexually abused and already pregnant,” Ninsiima said.

Armed with the medical examination report confirming defilement and pregnancy, Ninsiima rushed to Entebbe police station and a defilement case file has been opened.

Patrick Onyango, the Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson said Waggama exploited his position of trust, making his wife sleep in the shrine to leaving him alone with the victim.

“The victim's mother reported the incidents which allegedly occurred at the hands of her husband, Waggama Yusuf, a 40-year-old traditional healer and the victim's stepfather, who has allegedly performed a sexual act with the victim without her consent on multiple occasions,” Onyango said.

Police have said that Waggama will be arraigned in courts of law on charges of aggravated defilement since the victim was less than 15 years. Many children have been defiled by people they live with such as stepfathers, uncles, and even biological parents.
