According to Lakony, despite coming from the NRM party yet
the district council is majorly being run by members of the opposition FDC
party, Akera has been very objective in his work.
It is widely believed that Akera's total dedication to service with aversion to partisanship is the main reasons
he chose not to contest in the recently concluded elections amidst pressure
from his party members for his working closely with the opposition
