Five Suspected Boda Boda Killers Arrested in Kazo

Police in Kazo District have arrested five suspected criminals who have been targeting Boda Boda Cyclists.

The suspects include Clesensio Kiiza, Godius Ahebwa, John Tumuhairwe, Sam Ssemanda and Enoth Kabagambe all residents of Kazo district.

According to Ecega, the suspects are alleged to have been killing cyclists in Kazo, Kiruhura, Ibanda, and Ssembabule among other neighbouring districts.

Sources from police indicate that the group has confessed to have murdered 13 cyclists and stealing their motorcycles.

Murders targeting cyclists have been rampant in the Ankole sub-region with Ntungamo, Kazo and Kiruhura topping the list.

According to police, 15 cyclists were killed between September and October.
