About Bishop Ojwang

Ojwang was installed as the second Bishop of Kitgum Diocese in 2002 replacing McLeod Baker Ochola. His tenure in office was marred with tension and accusations against his leadership from parishioners and clergies that saw his forceful retirement in 2014.

He later sued Church of Uganda and Archbishop Stanley Ntagali over unfair removal from office before clocking his mandatory retirement age of 65 in 2017, a move that left Kitgum Diocese without a Bishop for two years.

He  handed over office after an out of court negotiation in 2017 culminating into the enthronement of Rev Wilson Kitara as the new Bishop last year.
