Former Sports Club Villa tactician Micho Sredejovic is among the many coaches who have applied to take up the position of Rwanda national team coach.

Micho, who won the league title with SC Villa for all the years he was in Uganda is currently coach of Al Hilal of Sudan, a team he has also led to the semi finals of the lucrative Africa Champions League.

The Serbian who has also handled other teams in Africa like St George of Ethiopia, Orlando Pirates of South Africa and Yanga Africans of Tanzania, is among the 25 coaches who have applied to handle the Amavubi as they also embark on qualification for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations and the World Cup.

Micho on Thursday told URN from his base in Sudan that he wants to shift to a national team after achieving a lot with different clubs. He will however, face stiff competition from another Serbian, Ratomir Dujkovic who guided Rwanda to their first ever Africa Nations Cup in 2004 before he took over the job as Ghana coach.

The job fell vacant early last month when Ghana born coach Sellas Tetteh resigned after a series of disappointing results that included a humiliating 5-0 home defeat to Ivory Coast.
