Tolbert Musinguzi, the Wakiso District Returning Officer, says the two-day’s was peaceful and asked the candidates to follow the guidelines issued by the Electoral Commission and Health Ministry.
The Electoral Commission has successfully nominated four
candidates for the vacant Namayumba LC III chairperson seat in Wakiso district.
They are Mustafa Ssekweyama, the National Unity Platform-NUP
candidate, Matia Wamala Lwanga from the Forum For Democratic Change, Muzenze
Joseph from the National Resistance Movement and Joseph Bwete, an independent
candidate.

Musinguzi explains that the by-election follows
the misrepresentation of the names of the NRM candidate in the last polls. He says
that even the NUP candidate, Nsubuga Deogracious got an accident a day after
the previous elections.

he wants to build the sub-county in the right place away from the town council.

to improve the education sector in the Namayumba sub-county.

Namayumba sub-county had no health center III and he managed to construct one
and a secondary school.

change, says that Namayumba needs a person who will change it in a few months

Electoral Commission has set December 15 for
the special interest group representatives and December 16 for the rest of the
posts.
