The She Cranes played a netball game with a select team from Secondary Schools select at Barifa stadium as part of the opening ceremony. Mvara Secondary school is the main host of the game.

The school head teacher, George Andama, says the game will help the school to become a sports center in the region. The winners in the national championship games will represent Uganda in Rwanda in the East African games and thereafter in the African games.

The team will also travel to China for the international championships.
