Despite being very influential in the education sector, Lawrence Mukiibi, the now deceased proprietor of St. Lawrence of Schools and Colleges, was a very humble man.

This, according to Isaac Byabashaija, a gatekeeper at St Lawrence Horizon Campus, one of the eight schools set up by Mukiibi, who suffered a cardiac arrest over the weekend and was pronounced dead at Norvik Hospital, Kampala.

And now Byabashaija shares his memories of the man he worked for, noting that that it took him a very long time to discover that he was indeed the proprietor of the schools.

He recalls the first day Professor Mukiibi drove to the school gate and he subjected him to security checks like he would to any other visitor to the school.
