Six gun wielding men have looted and torched two shops in Kaabong district. The incident occurred on Tuesday night at Nariamoe village in Kathile Sub County, a few Kilometers to the Uganda-Kenya border.
Joseph Midi Komol, the Kaabong District Chairperson confirms the attack on the village saying gunmen have gone on rampage terrorizing residents. He explains that after shooting Dada Rose Romano, the Karenga sub county chief on Monday the gunmen retreated to Nariamoe village causing mayhem.
He says the assailants looted property from the neighboring shops and food from households. Komol appeals to the Uganda Peoples’ Defense forces to heighten their surveillance so as to curb the new wave of insecurity that has hit the district.
