Headteacher Hacked to Death in Namutumba

The deceased sustained deep cuts on the head, and the upper chest. It is alleged that the deceased was attacked while at her home located in Bulange Sub County.

Police is hunting for unknown assailants who on Tuesday night hacked to death, Loy Mudondo, a headteacher of Nalende primary school in Namutumba district. 

The deceased sustained deep cuts on the head, and the upper chest. It is alleged that the deceased was attacked while at her home located in Bulange Sub County.

The deceased was referred to Jinja regional referral hospital on Wednesday where she died. 

A post-mortem report by the hospital confirms that the deceased succumbed to severe body injuries. 

One of the deceased’s attendants who spoke on condition of anonymity claims that the deceased was bleeding profusely.

“My friend sustained deep cuts in the head and was bleeding heavily, she eventually passed away just 30 minutes on arrival at the emergency unit,” she says.

James Mubi, the Busoga East Police Spokesperson, says that police has opened up a murder case file at Namutumba police station and has embarked on the hunt for the suspects.
