Simon Peter Akilenge, the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for Luuka District, in his letter, accused Mudhuli of accepting 17 million Shillings from Baisemubaka Sylvia, a Clinical Officer, to facilitate her promotion.
George Mudhuli, the headteacher of Tabingwa Primary School, has been suspended following
allegations of misconduct.
Simon Peter Akilenge, the Chief Administrative
Officer (CAO) for Luuka District, in his letter, accused Mudhuli of
accepting 17 million Shillings from Baisemubaka Sylvia, a Clinical Officer, to
facilitate her promotion. “Your actions portray gross misconduct on your part,
which cannot be tolerated in the public service,” Akilenge wrote in the
suspension letter dated February 4, 2025.
Mudhuli committed to
repaying the money but failed to do so. He allegedly paid 13 million Shillings and
promised to pay the remaining balance of 4 million Shillings by January 6, 2025.
“I, Mudhuli George, admit that I received Shs17
million from Baisemubaka Sylvia to meet the Chairman of the District Service
Commission for a job, but I did not give it to the chairman. I used it myself,”
Mr. Mudhuli stated in a commitment letter dated December 23, 2024.
Mudhuli allegedly
posed as the nephew of Paul Isabirye, the District Service Commission chairperson,
and conned Baisemubaka into believing he could influence the commission
to secure her a job as a senior medical officer.
Isabirye has since denied any misconduct allegations,
calling them baseless and malicious attempts to tarnish his reputation.
