According to Hakiza, Hoima district police headquarters have now been shifted to Kitoba sub county and the district Police commander is ASP Ruth Kamusiime.

He says the creation of the two divisional police stations is aimed at beefing up security in the entire city center and other areas surrounding the city.

According to Hakiza, initially it was hard for police to respond to emergencies in both the city and the district given the limited manpower adding that with the creation of the two new police stations, it will be easier for them to patrol and respond to various crimes in the city and the district respectively.
