Richard Mwesigwa, The Spokesperson for Uganda federal alliance in-charge of Bunyoro region, is being investigated for his alleged involvement in defacing candidates' posters.
Mwesigwa, also known as Senior Carpenter, is contesting for the LC 3 seat for Kahoora Local council.
His troubles however stem from reports that he has placed a stern order stopping his tenants at his rental unit in Kigaragara, from pinning any posters on his house.
Mwesigwa allegedly ordered his to pin no other posters other than those of the candidates from his party the Uganda federal alliance.
Malia Mbetegya, one of Mwesigwa's tenants brought the matter to the attention of the police. He said that his tenants plucked off all the NRM candidates' posters that were pinned on his house.
Augustine Kasangaki the district police commander says police are investigating the matter. He said police summoned Mwesigwa and ordered him to record a statement.
He says this is the first case of poster defacement recorded in the district so far.
