Zole, a veterinary doctor in Adjumani district presented himself to the authorities after they announced his search in relation to the mysterious death of his wife.  Padusia was found dead in her home in Kirombe, Layibi division in Gulu district over the weekend, in what police suspected to be a crime of passion.

Initial investigations indicated that she could have been hit on the head and later stabbed.

Patrick Jimmy Okema, the Aswa region Police Spokesperson says Padusia should have been killed on Friday night although neighbors learnt about her death on Sunday morning after the area was covered in a stench and flies.

Although the Police in Adjumani was quoted saying that there is no direct evidence linking Zole to the death by yesterday, Okema told URN that Zole is a key suspect in the murder as current Investigations show that he hired a vehicle to take him around the region.  Neighbors also confirmed seeing the husband in the home last week.

Zole reportedly handed himself over to the Police in Adjumani and later transferred to Gulu where the crime was supposedly committed from.

Because the body of the deceased had stayed for over two days before it was discovered, she was buried hurriedly on Monday. She is survived by four children.
