Vipers Sports Club's new Portuguese tactician Duarte Miguel Jorge Da Costa has said he is determined to make the team better.
“I am here to work hard with all players and the management team. We need to work as a team to be able to get better,” added the Portuguese who was signed on Tuesday.
Vipers SC President Lawrence Mulindwa unveiled the coach on Tuesday and stated that he was signed on a three year contract.
The Portuguese joins the Venoms and will take charge immediately with his first assignment being a CAF Total Confederations home game against South Africa's Platinum Stars FC on Saturday at the St Marys Stadium, Kitende.
Mulindwa said after putting up a new Stadium they decided to also get a new professional coach from Europe who will change the mentality of the players.
Vipers SC progressed to the first round of the CAF Total Confederations Cup after knocking out Comoros' Club Volcan De Moroni with Deus Bukenya scoring the vital away goal.
Kenneth Muwanga, the Vipers SC media officer told URN on Thursday that the South African team is yet to communicate their arrival date and time. “Hopefully they will communicate before the end of the day,” he added.
