Jackson Baryampika, the Kitgum District Police Commander says during his visit, Kayihura will hold a meeting with district officials and security personnel before visiting the home of the last murder victim in Ayul, a suburb of Kitgum Municipality.
The Inspector General of Police, Kale Kayihura is expected in Kitgum district today over the recent spate of murders by shooting.
Police records show that unidentified assailants have shot dead three people in Kitgum municipality in the last one week.
The murder victims include Tonny Olanya, the chairperson Kitgum Public Accounts Committee and former employee of Uganda Revenue Authority-URA, Christine Lam and Grace Ageno, the female councilor Greenland parish in Pager Division.
