Ikwaput Nets Four Goals as Lady Doves Register Big Win

Lady Doves WFC kicked started their FUFA Women Super League - FWSL Group B campaign in style with a big win against ISRA Soccer Academy on Monday.

Fazirah Ikwaput was the star after netting four goals, while Lydia Nyandera scored the other goal to guide Lady Doves to a 5-0 win in a game played at the Njeru based FUFA technical center.

"We played as a team and each department performed to their best. We played well as a team,” says Ikwaput.

Daisy Nakaziro, the Lady Doves’ captain says that the players were determined to exhibit a good performance in their first league game and they collectively performed towards attaining this goal. Nakaziro however, commends Ikwaput for her good speed and talent that helped them register a big win.

ISIRA’s team captain, Shanita Nalubwama says that prior to this game their players were psychologically affected over some unresolved challenges in the team. But she promised to cooperate with the relevant stakeholders who will resolve these differences before their next game.
