Ingrid Turinawe, the Forum for Democratic Change-FDC national mobilisation secretary in custody at Jinja road police station. She was intercepted at Spear Motor junction along Jinja road while walking with other FDC supporters from Nakawa Chief Magistrate's court, where the former FDC presidential candidate, Dr. Kizza Besigye had just appeared.

Shortly after intercepting Turinawe, police directed her to enter her vehicle and drive away in vain leading to a bitter exchange of words with the officers. She later entered the vehicle but refused to drive away, prompting the officers to call for a tow truck to move it.

She was dragged out of her car, pushed into a waiting police truck and driven to Jinja Road Police station.  Siraje Bakaleke, the Kampala East Metropolitan Regional Police, says Turinawe was picked up for disobeying lawful orders.
