Jinja Hippos have continued to excel in this season’s rugby league after defeating Mulago Rams RFC with 30-0. This was during their sixth game played at the Jinja based Dam waters stadium on Saturday.

Hippos is the only rugby club outside central Uganda that has maintained its’ presence in the country’s top tier league for two consecutive seasons and players hope that, with hard work, they are capable of winning this year’s trophy.

Hippos Head Coach Robert Sseguya says that all their games and training sessions are recorded on video to easily conduct frequent game reviews, as a means of enabling individual players to reflect on their mistakes on the pitch which in turn aid them to exhibit better performance.

Sseguya who also doubles as the Uganda National Rugby Union team head coach is slated to faceoff with Kobs next week. He however promised to train the boys better and encourage them to showcase a positive mindset, which will enable them to triumph over the top league clubs during the four remaining games of the season.
