Joint security forces from the Lobalangit detachment successfully repelled an attack on a cattle kraal by armed Karamojong warriors in Karenga District. The incident occurred on Friday at around 8:00 p.m. in Sarachom Village, where a group of suspected warriors armed with guns launched an assault on the kraal.
According to Mt. Moroto Regional Police Spokesperson Mike Longole, the joint forces swiftly responded to the scene and engaged the attackers in a fierce gun battle. Longole praised the security personnel for their bravery and professionalism during the operation, noting that their prompt action helped repel the attackers and recover all the animals.
He also commended the local community for their cooperation in providing timely information to the security agencies. "We commend the joint forces for their dedication to duty and commitment to protecting the lives and property of Ugandans. Security agencies remain vigilant and continue to work tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of all citizens," Longole said.
