A group of journalists under the Uganda Parliamentary Press Association-UPPA are to receive free seedlings and livestock under the Operation Wealth Creation-OWC program.

At least 69 of the 200 journalists accredited to cover parliament have applied to receive the inputs and livestock, according to Dickens Okello, the UPPA Secretary General.

The journalists applied to receive the inputs after the Government Chief Whip; Ruth Nankabirwa offered to help them to benefit from the program.

In her briefing to journalists in a meeting attended by Lt. Gen Charles Angina, the Deputy Coordinator OWC, Nankabirwa emphasized the need for every Ugandan to get involved in wealth creation.

Nankabirwa said she was motivated to help journalists to benefit from the program so as to help them develop and understand the program.
