Following the recent judicial Service Commission (JSC) promotions of 30 judicial officers to the ranks of Deputy Registrar, Assistant Registrar, Chief Magistrate and Grade One, the judiciary has responded by causing massive transfers and postings.
According to a press from the Judiciary dated January 16, 2013 and signed by Public Relations Officer Erias Kisawuzi, the deployments and postings take immediate effect.
The huge promotions of the judicial officers were effected by the JSC in accordance with article 148 of the constitution that mandates the Commission to appoint, confirm and exercise disciplinary proceedings against judicial officers.
This was after they had sat and passed their promotional interviews that were held late last year.
The JSC said the promotion of the judicial officers was intended in a bid to enhance and improve service delivery in the administration of justice.
