"We hand over her spirit to You, Lord," he prayed, condemning the moral decay that prioritizes wealth over righteousness. He cautioned against misplaced trust in caregivers, lamenting how such trust can be devastatingly betrayed. Fr. Omaria also warned against seeking guidance from witch doctors, emphasizing that only faith in God provides true direction.

Meanwhile, Stephen Otukei, chairman of the burial committee, refuted allegations that the family had received Shs 62 million in compensation. "We have not received anything," he asserted, calling on authorities to ensure justice prevails.

Over 700 mourners attended the mass, with many demanding swift action from the police to apprehend those responsible. Investigations are ongoing, with school director Joseph Okedi, his wife Susan Okedi, the head teacher, and three others in custody to aid inquiries.

Authorities have inspected the crime scene, with the homicide department from Kampala among those involved. The school, which had over 800 pupils at the time of closure, remains under investigation, though no final decision has been made regarding its future. East Kyoga Regional Police Commander Damalie Nachuha confirmed that inquiries are still underway.
