Mukiza told URN on his sick bed at St Ambrose Health Center III this morning that it all started when he returned home after watching the 10 oclock TV news at his neighbors residency and didnt find his wife at home.
A Catechist attached to St. Joseph Mpamba Catholic Church in Mugaliki parish in Hoima district is in severe pain at St Ambrose Health Center III after being assaulted by his wife. Innocent Mukiza was rushed to the health center with a torn scrotum following a fight his wife, Joy Night on Wednesday night.
Mukiza told URN on his sick bed at St Ambrose Health Center III this morning that it all started when he returned home after watching the 10 o'clock TV news at his neighbor's residency and didn't find his wife at home.
According to Mukiza, he tasked his wife to explain where she had gone when he returned home. He says the wife responded in abuse manner prompting him to slap her.
But in retaliation, the woman grabbed his private parts and bit the scrotum causing him grievous harm. Mukiza says he raised alarm, which attracted residents who rescued him and rushed him to St Ambrose Health Center III in critical condition. The couple has six children from the 23 year marriage.
John Bosco Musana, the officer in charge of Kyakabadima Police Post, says he received information about the feud at midnight.

He says they picked up Joy and she is in custody at Kyakabadima police post.Julius Hakiza, the Albertine Region Police spokesperson, says they have commenced investigations into the matter.
He says Joy will be presented to court for assault and causing grievous harm once investigations are complete.
