Kalungu Sub County Chief has been relieved of his duties for allegedly selling off Buganda Kingdom land.

Kizito Ssebaana Namutukula was sacked by Buddu County Chief, Vincent Ssebowa Mayiga, during an executive meeting held at Kalungu sub-county headquarters on Tuesday.

Ssebaana is accused of selling over 2 acres of land in Kalungu without Mayiga’s consent.

Mayiga is the custodian of the kingdom property in Buddu County.

Mayiga says that the land had a coffee plantation project which belonged to the kingdom and it was destroyed after the land was sold.

Ssebaana is also accused of being a disgrace to the kingdom by refusing to attend several functions in the county without genuine reasons.
