Voters in Kamwokya have tasked candidates vying for different
elective positions to improve on the hygiene and combating crime in the area.
The residents of Green Valley, Church Zone, Kisenyi 1 and 2, Kifumbira zone,
Mulimira and among other areas argue that the sanitation in the area is appalling
and likely to result in an outbreak of diseases.
They also want the candidates to explain their plans for addressing the rampant
crime rate in the area.
Mike Kafureeka, a resident of Kisenyi 2 says, their area is filled with garbage
due to lack of a garbage skip. Kafureeka argues that it is also risky to move
past 8 pm due to insecurity.
According to Kafureeka, the incumbent leaders have kept a deaf ear on the
plight of the residents.
